I’m pleased to have taken on the leadership of the Qualicum Beach Probus Club and its Management Committee for this year. Thanks to my immediate predecessors Penny Harvie and David Lane and the Management Team, we have emerged from the Pandemic era in good condition. We have close to 200 members – I think we probably have one of the highest memberships around – and, as a result, a sound financial situation – such that we don’t even ask you for cash when you come to our monthly general meetings! Don’t hesitate to invite your friends to come as guests – we have an interesting line-up of speakers for the next few months. The local Probus Clubs have set up a Speaker Network Committee to share speaker information, which is a valuable resource. Generally our Special Interest Groups are doing well – information about them is in the consistently informative monthly Newsletter. Let me know if you have any suggestions for speakers or special interest groups, or if you have any concerns.

Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the St. Stephen’s United Hall, 150 Village Way, Qualicum Beach, B.C. Doors open at 9:00 am for coffee and socializing. The meeting starts at 9:30 am. After a short business meeting, we have a guest speaker. Our speakers come from different walks of life and the topics vary from important issues facing us today to light-hearted moments that make us laugh. The meetings are free and guests are welcome to attend a General Meeting to see what we are all about. A current membership is required to participate in the Interest Groups and Club Events.
Should you wish to enquire about membership in an organization where fellowship is more than a word: it is our way of life, please contact our membership director through the "Contact Us" page. Annual membership is $30.00 per year. There is a one-time initiation fee of $20.00.
