We offer a wide range of Activity Groups to cater to the varied interests of our members.
You must be a member to participate, but we welcome new members at any time of the year.
Book Club
We meet on the second Thursday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in members' homes. New members are welcome.

Bridge Group
The games will be set pairs against pairs, singles should not be deterred as we’ll find a way of accommodating them as well. There is an expectation of a reasonable level of proficiency (often called “kitchen bridge”)
Brunch Bunch
A monthly social event. Details will change each month as choosing the restaurant, date and time will be for the volunteer host to decide. Anyone can host and book their favourite establishment.
Canasta Group
Our Canasta Group is for pairs (a partner is needed). They play once every two weeks in someone's home.

Chop 'n Chat Groups
We have two Chop 'n Chat groups.
Members' take turns hosting and they demonstrate new and interesting recipes (and, of course, tasting is involved!). Men and women of PROBUS both find this group fun and enjoyable -- plus they have a great time learning new cooking tips and tricks and sharing their knowledge with each other.

Discussion Group
We meet once a month. Once the topic is selected the leader that month will invite members to attend. Presently we have about 8 members participating on a fairly regular basis.

Euchre Group
Games will be hosted on a rotating basis, one per month (initially) for four or eight people (2 tables). More are welcome by signing up at any meeting.

Friday Happy Hour
This new event is open to everyone: couples, singles, and any configuration that fits comfortably at a pub table. The idea is a more flexible, relaxed early-evening gathering with happy-hour drinks, optional appies, and dinner for those who wish to stay on, giving everyone a chance to join in the fun. This will run on the FIRST FRIDAY of each month. |

Our garden group was started in 2022 and visits a number of gardens from May through August each year. We primarily schedule for Wednesday afternoons or early evenings.

Mexican Train Meets once a month at a host’s home. The group is open to all couples and singles. The intent of this group is to enjoy playing in a social setting in different members’ homes. Drinks and snacks provided by hosting member and rotating each month.

New monthly Texas Hold’em group starting Thursday June 11th. All skill levels. Learners welcome. Must like playing cards, enjoy camaraderie, have a sense of humour and $12.00 to spend.

Guests are asked to arrive at QB Legion before 5:00 pm and quiz starts at 6:00 pm.
The price will be $15.00 a head. This includes food from Giovanni's. There will be a $3.00cover charge for those not eating.
